Welcome Back Principal Letter to Students & Families

Tigers–

It is with great excitement that I welcome you back for another school year on Tiger Trail! I hope each of you had a restful, enjoyable, and meaningful summer break. As the new principal at Swainsboro Middle School, I look forward to the accomplishments we will achieve together this year and in the years ahead.

Swainsboro Middle School continues to make progress in student achievement as measured by Georgia Milestones, and our continued work will be to ensure that every student receives the quality education that they deserve. We will set high expectations for ourselves as faculty and staff, and for our students. The work then becomes ensuring that we meet these goals–collectively. 

Parents, I invite you to be a partner in this work. The faculty and staff at SMS will work diligently to ensure that your student is seen, heard, and supported, but we also know that a cooperative school-parent partnership can be a game changer for a child’s education. This is an invitation to join us in that partnership. 

The SMS team is here for your student. 

On a personal note, and as a new face in the community, I look forward to meeting, listening to, and learning from the Tiger community. Let’s write the next chapter of Swainsboro Middle School together.
