Welcome Back Principal Letter to Students & Families

Dear Parents and Students:

 

It is with excitement that I share that I have been named the Interim Principal of Swainsboro Middle School.  I plan for a smooth transition as well as productive pre-planning days.  My goal is to do whatever I can to make sure SMS is providing quality instruction for our students and that the teachers and staff have what they need to successfully reach that goal.  

Swainsboro Middle School is proud that it is the place where traditions start.  Tiger Trail is rich with a history of both athletic and academic accomplishments.  We want to instill that pride in our students so they will strive to reach the same levels of achievement that Tiger Nation expects. 

As the principal, I welcome all stakeholders to share ideas with me as well as any concerns they feel are impacting students in our building.  The SMS staff knows that it truly takes a village for us to meet the needs of our students.  

The SMS team is excited to start this new year.  We welcome our sixth grade students and their families to our school and cannot wait to see all the great things the entire school accomplishes this coming year.  Preliminary Georgia Milestone results show gains in both math and science.  We will review all of the final results to determine areas of strength and weakness to improve student achievement this coming year.  

Great things are on the horizon for Swainsboro Middle School.  My team and I look forward to the work and dedication it will take to bring all of our students to the levels they strive to achieve.
